William ‘s motto, you know, was that art should be “by the people, for the people”. In short, every artwork can be imagined, created, admired by all of us and its deep interior meaning is destined to everybody. In fact he affirmed :
“The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all details of daily life.”
According to me, each art product comes from the beautiful mind of a human being ( the creator) and tells a story to those who admire it through an invisible game of sensations and emotions because Art is about communication.
Well, that’s an extraordinary and special way of communication, a dialogue without words, probably based on a strong virtual interconnection of “hearts “.
Moreover Art concerns LIGHTNESS AND DARKNESS, shining or dull colours, soft or rough materials, perfection or imperfection . In the same way, Life is a perpetual contrast between happy and bad afternoons, success or disaster, sunny or rainy days never saying Goodbye . So our existence is like an artistic challenge in order to overcome a series of problems we try to solve (remembering Lady VIOLET ‘s wisdom) and to find the true purpose and meaning of being human.
I like thinking that we are not alone in front of a sculpture or a painting as we can really perceive the soul of the creator. That’s why that the fundamental purpose of an artwork, a song or a play is to be a GETAWAY, AN ESCAPE OPENING A WINDOW TOWARDS A NEW BETTER WORLD.
