O ART, YOU BRING MY HAND TO MY HEART !

Lady in New York, painting by Fontana Shelter

Dear readers, first of all Happy Valentine’s Day! Today we celebrate our love for people, animals or activities that make our lives shining and happy. Art ( considered as the ensemble of Music, Painting, Photography, Theatre and Cinema, Dance) is certainly the most efficient and effective way to join a mood of supreme happiness and peace because, as we wrote in our previous article, it’s a real getaway and escape.

New York EXHIBITION AT THE MAJESTIC WEST OX ARTS GALLERY IN BAMPTON

For example, we can easily illustrate with this red bright poster the enormous joy of exhibiting at WEST OX ARTS in BAMPTON (the real famous location of DOWNTON ABBEY VILLAGE). In fact, even a little picture can convey the deepest and strongest emotions…Well, you know, that’s the same chance for the first painting of this post.

Called “Lady in New York “( do you believe that is a bizarre coincidence or do you think that the “hand of fate ” has played a strange role in the choice of this picture for the “New York “exhibition ???) , it portrays a pretty and clever woman, obscured by the fog in the middle of the City. The lady represents the symbol of BEAUTY and MORAL VIRTUES. And obviously the fog embodies all her enemies and obstacles to be overcome. Nevertheless, the lady resists and becomes an emblem of RESILIENCE. Let’s listen to the following song and read its powerful lyrics.

Pain

” I met a man with a broken back. He had a fear in his eyes that I could understand ,I can’t even shake the hand Without breaking it. I’ve been pulling on a wire, but it just won’t break. I’ve been turning up the dial, but I hear no sound I resist what I cannot change And I wanna find what can’t be found “

I RESIST WHAT I CANNOT CHANGE!

That’s a real reflection on the difficulty of overcoming pain and suffering, the struggles of moving on and accepting what can’t be changed. These words portray the feelings of isolation, loneliness and despair associated with pain, but also emphasize the importance of the strong resilience and seeking comfort in those around you for support. Moreover it encourages listeners to find strength and power in themselves and to continue seeking out what can’t be found.

Tennessee, painting by Fontana Shelter

And what about our second exhibiting painting ? “Tennessee “: no, the name is not referring to the State of Tennessee!!! But it’s a tribute to Hans Zimmer ‘s Tennessee, Pearl Harbor’s soundtrack. Another hand of fate ‘s joke? Perhaps not…Please read the explanation

So, this Zimmer ‘s Air can be considered as a perfect metaphor of life. Its delicate and kind melody begins with short-breath phrases, almost broken, and then merges into the main theme of wide-ranging as pushed by a gentle wind at times stormy at times sweet that lifts us towards the dawn sky.

According to me , Tennessee describes the passage of time and life in an unconventional, original and scenographic way. A life marked by the daily hardships and storms that make it fly here and there trying to push it away from the right path. Nevertheless our willpower and our strong determination manage to save us from the rushing wind and lead us to the dawn’s light of a new day, a new hope. Like every religion this new dawn means the beginning of a better and fulfilled life that is surely able to cancel all the storms and suffering of the previous life.

And now listen to the poignant melody…

And finally a video of tribute to KELMSCOTT MANOR, partner of New York EXHIBITION…

AT THE END OF THIS DAY, WE HAVE LEARNT ALL THE WAYS TO FIND HARMONY AND MORAL PEACE THANKS TO ART!

You bring my hand to my heart

BUT THE MOST VALUABLE AND IMPORTANT LEGACY IS CONTAINED IN THE FOLLOWING LETTER: JUST LIVE WELL !

A few weeks should have passed by the time you read this. If you follow the instructions, you’ll be in Paris on one of those chairs that never sit quite level on a pavement. I hope it’s still sunny. Across the bridge to your right, you’ll see L’artisan Parfumeur. You should try the scent called Papiomextrem. I always did think it would smell great on you. There are few things I wanted to say and couldn’t because you would’ve gotten emotional and you wouldn’t have let me finish. So, here it is. When you get back home, Michael Lawler will give you access to a bank account that contains enough to give you a new beginning. Don’t start panicking. It’s not enough for you to sit around for the rest of your life but it should buy you your freedom, at least from that little town we both call home. Live boldly, Clark. Push yourself. Don’t settle. Wear those stripy legs with pride. Knowing you still have possibilities is a luxury, knowing I might have given them to you. This eased something for me. So, this is it. You are scored on my heart, Clark. You have been the first day you walked in with your sweet smile and your ridiculous clothes and your bad jokes and your complete inability to ever hide a single thing you felt. Don’t think of me too often. I don’t want you getting sad. Just live well. Just live. I’ll be walking beside you every step of the way. Love, Will” ( from Me before you )
