I WANNA FIND WHAT CAN’T BE FOUND

Everyday life often seems to us an intertwining of deceptions, traps and illusions and we feel unfortunate and disgraced like the protagonists of THE MISERABLES. As our beloved LADY VIOLET says, life is a series of problems that we have to face and solve one after the other. However we should take an example from the tenacity and cunning of the simple working-class waitress Susanna of The Marriage of Figaro. This play is an intertwining of deceptions. Susanna, the maid, is sincere, direct and decisive, if the countess has suffered for a long time and in silence the betrayals of her husband, she just does not fit in and demands respect. Susanna defends with tooth and nail her being a woman and her being the woman of Figaro, she knows how to be strong and aggressive when she defends herself and defends her love.

Les MISERABLES of Downton Abbey

I met a man with a broken back

He had a fear in his eyes that I could understand

I can’t even shake the hand Without breaking it

I’ve been pulling on a wire, but it just won’t break

I’ve been turning up the dial, but I hear no sound

I resist what I cannot change

And I wanna find what can’t be found ” ( Pain, War on drugs)

I resist what I cannot change
I dreamed a dream , Susan Boyle

I was dreaming in my dreaming Of an aspect bright and fair And my sleeping it was broken But my dream it lingered near In the form of shining valleys Where the pure air recognized And my senses newly opened I awakened to the cry

That the people have the power To redeem the work of fools

Listen I believe everything we dream Can come to pass through our union We can turn the world around We can turn the earth’s revolution We have the power People have the power The people have the power The people have the power The power to dream, to rule To wrestle the world from fools It’s decreed the people rule It’s decreed the people rule We have the power People have the power We have the power… ( People have the power, PATTI SMITH)
